Situated about 45 kms from Veraval the state of Gujarat in South West India, the Sasan Gir National Park was established on 18th September, 1965, to conserve the Asiatic Lion the most endangered & threatened species. This is only remaining places in the world likely to see the Asiatic Lion. The sanctuary covers a total area of 1,412 sq. km of which 258 sq.km at the core forms the National park. Permits are required to enter this part of the sanctuary.

The land is rugged with deep ravines, steep rocky hills and plenty of rivers. The vegetation, mainly along the main rivers and streams is mixed deciduous, with Teak, Acacia, Jamun, Tendu and Dhak trees, interspersed with large patches of grasslands and offers the visitor long pleasant drives, through the thick forest cover. These trees are mostly broad leaved and evergreen, giving the area a cool shade and moisture content.

The other highlight of this tour is Somnath & Dwarka. Both are very prominent place for Hindu. Dwarka is considered to be one of the holiest cities in Hinduism and one of the four "dhams" along with Badrinath, Puri, Rameswaram.

Day 01: Ahmedabad-Verawal (Train 19921 Dep/Arr 22:00/06:20 hrs)
Board the train departing to Verawal. Overnight Journey.

Day 02: Veraval (Somnath)-Sasan Gir National Park (45 kms)
On arrival in the early morning at around 06:20 hrs. Pick up from the railway station & transfer to Hotel. AM: At leisure for refreshment & some time for rest. Early afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Somnath Temples many times destroyed & rebuilt. The present temple we see is built after India Independence by the effort of Sardar Patem & K. M. Munshi. After that proceed to Sasan Gir National Park. On arrival hotel check in. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: Sasan Gir
In the early morning visit to Jungle for safari. This is only available place for Asiatic Lion in Asia. Return to your hotel. Rest of the time at leisure. PM: Take another afternoon safari . Return to the hotel & overnight stay.

Day 04: Sasan Gir-Dwarka (240 kms)—En route Porbander
After an early breakfast drive to Dwarka. En route sightseeing of Porbander. Visit to Kirti Mandir is visited by a large number of travellers every day. Kriti Mandir houses a Gandhian library and a prayer hall. Kirti Mandir is a three-storeyed ancestral house of Mahatma Gandhi and one can see his birthplace, which has been marked with a ‘swastika’ symbol. Mahatma Gandhi was born here in 1869. According to the Hindu mythology, Porbandar is also the birth place of Sudama, lord Krishna’s dear friend. This temple in Porbandar is the only temple in the entire country that is dedicated to Sudama. Continue your journey to Dwarka. On arrival hotel check in. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05: Dwarka-Ahmedabad (Train No.22905 Dep/Arr 06:00/15:15 hrs)
In the early morning you will be transferred to Dwarka Railway Station to board the train to Ahmedabad for onward destination.
