Pondicherry now known as Poducherry. It is largely dominated by the French, and the impressions of the colonial rule can still be found out everywhere, from the symmetrically aligned streets to the layout and design of the city. The history back to first millennium & was contact with Romans mainly for trade of dyed textiles, semi precious stones etc. Later it comes under the regime of Pallva Kingdom when the route was discovered by Portuguese Pondicherry began to large influx of foreign merchants. The Dutch & French followed which the later become the master of the region who began an era of colonial rule hardly challenged by any of its rivals.

Day 01: Chennai
Arrival at Chennai on arrival transfer to Hotel for check in. Later proceed for half day sightseeing of Ft ST George Church built in 1640 AD, Adyar Banyan Tree- one of the largest tree in the world. Marina Beach is the 2nd largest beach of the world which stretches about 4.5 kms. Return to the hotel & overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 02: Chennai-Pondicherry (162 kms)
After breakfast drive to Pondicherry. On arrival hotel check in. Pondicherry being a cultural city which reflects the French Era is best discovered by just walking down the lane. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Pondicherry
After breakfast we will take you for the sightseeing of Aurobindo Ashram- the great seer, poet and prophet of the twentieth century, made Pondicherry his home from 1910 till his death in 1950. His vision and ideals continue to draw people from all over the world. Auroville- located 10 kms it is envisioned as a Universal Town, where people from different nationalities, faiths and beliefs, can live in peace and harmony. Pondicherry Museum:vOn display are the findings of Arikamedu, the Chola bronzes and sculptures, glimpses of French heritage, specimens of modern and traditional handicraft, paintings, armouries, carvings and many other things of historical interest. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 04: Pondicharry - Chennai
After breakfast free time for leisure activities or for shopping. Later you will be dropped at Chennai Airport/Railway station for further journey.
